I have a lot of previous experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Ever since I was about ten years old I have taken computer courses in school. The schools I have attended have required me to do many projects using these three programs. In addition I have worked in the office at a summer camp for over 3 years. My job was mainly working on the computer to keep track of the children, payments, and other important information, and Microsoft Excel was used for all of these tasks. Coming into college and being an elementary education major have had to do many projects and papers using these three programs.
Because I have many years of experience working with these programs I hope to perfect my skills while using Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. I hope to learn a few new shortcuts and techniques in order to help me to become a more effective instructor towards my students.
According to the servey i took; overall I am a well balanced learner. No quality or teaching style really benefits me in a drastic way. Although I learned that I am more of a visual learner, and not so much a hands on learner. I tend to grab on to information when it is presented to me in a lecture/discussion setting more than when i try it myself. I am more likely to remember what the teacher said about something than how it actually looks.
